Yes I had the same problems with native lilypond but there are some work arounds. Setting path to lilypond.exe doesn't work as there are some problems later with missing files that are there. The way I use jEdit with Lilypond is to load the file into jEdit. I press the make lilypond file icon. It

I am trying to download Lilypond for windows at work (where I have DSL), then save the 66mb download to cd as directory cygwin, then write cygwin to my c drive at home (where I only have a 56k modem) and install it. It says installation is complete, but when I run the test, no output is produced.
