Anyone have any ballpark nunbers for a building owner prewire like this?
8'-4" drop ceiling, electrician will stub out (3/4" conduit) single gang
box at each location, plenum cable requirement.
quote would include:
14000 ft of cat 5 plenum cable
80 single gang plates, each with two cat 5 jacks
Not particularily a panasonic question, but does anyone recall
installing an on-hold message / music device prior to 1996 that was
remotely programmable via modem? If so, can you provide me with the
model/manufacture?
Thank you,
Dan

Hello my dears,
please, i'd like to know if i can do SMDR(station
message detail recording)printing with KX-TEM824 when
i connect it to the PC/printer via USB cable.
Any help will be very appreciate.
I have already install the KX-TE Maintenance Console
and it runs very well.
THANK YOU.
About $8000 would be my estimate here. CPE on the rack and all patch panels as
I read it. I would just be providing the jack and cable material. I priced out
5e Plenum.

I gave up programming through a phone years ago and refuse to go back. The
client would either have to upgrade or I would pass.

And you want one because?

I need to get those prices for jacks! Labor is almost there, cost of living
less here, so my techs ring in at 11 & 14/hr, plus burden, and they pack
their lunch.
Remember Larry stated plenum on this, so recalc your wire.
So, yeah JosA/B would be nice I guess, se habla?

Canadian Pricing:
14000 feet Essex Cat 5e plenum at $192 per box = $2688
160 Panduit Cat 5e jacks at 5.01 per jack = $801.60
80 Panduit faceplates @ 1.67 = 133.60
Total Material = $3623.50
Minimum markup at 20% and add taxes. Material sell price would be $4652.57
Minimum on labour would be 160 x
We just finished about 70,000 feet of Cat 5e pulls and over 500 runs. I
don't have the costs for this yet, but $55 per drop would mean my guys would
be paid minimum wages.
Based on pricing one month ago, my material cost-per-run approx $26.00 This
does not include J-hooks. Now if I add labour:
Ok... they would freak at that price here. But, that's Eastern Shore
mentality. 120-160 a drop would be horrendous. Since they get Billy-Bob and
Bubba to run the "wiaere".

Really! I think 8 to 10k is a normal range of quotes. What would be a good

To all,
Your response amazed me, I thought I would be lucky to get one reply!
Everyone was right on with the materials, even noting the little addons.
But more amazing was how close everyone was to the same number (what's
10% anyhow).
I spent a few hours scaling a print and pushing everything

Cablestogo is currently selling 1000 ft boxes of cat5e PVC for 68.52.
They're also selling Plenum cable for $227.25, so your price for plenum
cable is better.
I have no affiliation with Cablestogo other than as a customer.

How would you all price each cable run when you are pulling 3 cables to each

same room and close to each other. Would you still price it out at 120 to 180

Ser,
I just curious, doesn't these eu systems come with any installation manuals at
all? That seems to be a basic question that the manual could quickly answer. On
our TDA systems we need to use the RS232 output for SMDR data. Not there on the
USB. At least that is what my manuals state. I never

I charge $55 a drop for Cat5e, but I hardly get any jobs... probably $35-$40
a drop is the normal whoring price, but I loose money at that price.
I have other competitors charging $500 over cost to install a key system,
