For the benefit of others who might encounter similar problems, the 2xx entry
in the TVS 'extension numbering plan' table appears to
have been cleared somehow (this did work at one time...). The only entry was
1xx, so any leading digit other than 1 was simply
passed to the menu system. Restoring
We have an older KX-TD1232 and a TVS200. The TVS is programmed for a simple
custom service... a greeting and a couple menu options.
All has been working fine for years, but suddenly it will no longer wait for
additional digits if the first digit is a 2. I.e., I

BSP 463-221-100 covers the 107 'Spokesman' amplifiers, but my copy only shows
the older 'A' version, which uses discrete

WE part number in the original post. If no one here
has it, you could try asking on the singingwir
In order for the gateway to see the 1232 as off-hook, it has to think the 1232
is drawing current not 'pumping out' current. It is
the gateway that needs to recognize the on/off hook status, the 1232 should
always (presumably) know if it is on or off hook...
Either the 1232 is drawing too much cu

But just generating busy back to the KSU could leave a person attempting to
place a call confused and stuck on the busy CO. It
wouldn't force the KSU to pick a different CO.

Don't know of a specific product, but it seems like it should be easy to cobble
one up
Why guess or measure? If it don't work at the demarc with a known good phone,
call SBC; it's their problem.

Insufficient ringing voltage or current is a common problem with 'derived' POTS
lines (from fiber, VoIP, cable, etc.). However, it
is usually only a problem for those of us who collect and use antiques... any
modern equipment like the Pana KSUs should ring-up on
just about anything. As Charles s
In the past I've used short-haul modems from Black Box Corp. to transport asyc
serial long distances at high speeds over Cat-3. Very
reliable and trouble-free Not sure what their current offerings might be
though, as this was a few years ago.

I bought two of these drills quite a few years ago and have used them
constantly ever since. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail from Skil/Robert

A technique I like to use when I need multiple apperances of CO lines or
station ports is to introduce a 25-pair '66M' or '66B' block between the
CO/KSU blocks and the station blocks. Then you can jump the CO or station
pairs to that block and fan out from there to 3 or 5 stations (more if you
