stered SPA from prying connectors. If you don't have
luck finding something, let me know and I can dump the config from my SPA
to use as a model for you.

I'm doing just that. I have a remote POTS line connected to the FXO port
of an SPA3102. The 3102 'points' across a (Linksys) VPN to a PAP2T on
this end. One FXS port of the PAP2T connects to a CO trunk of my TD1232.
The same should work on your TDE system

appropriate 1xx numbers without having to keep moving them around to avoid
duplicating numbers. Worked well for the 1232, but apparently it created
issues for the TVS.

I believe you can do a quick setup and you won't lose the custom
menus, you may have to
get back to 3-digit
numbers, do I? Any other settings that I need to check - I thought I'd
checked all of them.

Also try huntgroup type= AA and VM for the vm ports in the kxtd.

Yes, that's the sequence being used, just as before, and it doesn't work
now. All other functions are working correctly. I may have to resort to
the backup/reset/restore sequence this weekend if something else doesn't
come up and get it
it knows how many digits
extensions are.
- Entering ** will cause it to hang up.
- Navigation through custom menus works OK, including transfer to an
extension number.
Any ideas on what else to check?

Given that one has the Pana DOS program version 4.02 used with the
KX-TD1232-4, will that same program also work on a KX-TD816-4, or is there
a separate program for the 816?
