( in my plans says to mount pitot tube on outboard nose rib it seems to me that you;d have to up hook tubing everytime you took the wings off.. It also calls for mounting on right of plane which hase all the prop wash (it seems) any help would be greatly appre

Yes, mount it on the outboard wing. Ours is like a Cessna, mounted under the wing. We installed it in the left wing. You just need to be sure it is OUT of the prop wash. There is a time for building and a time for FLYING and the time for building has expired. See N64KR at http://KR-Builder.org -
