The only concern with that location is that it's directly above the
wheel pant.  Depending on how the wheel cover attaches will
determine whether it's a problem or not.  I went to the outer wing
panel to get away from that but my gear is so wide that it's
still a problem for me.  That's not the reason I still don't have
wheel pants after 105 hours of flight time.  I'm just having too
much fun flying to stop and build wheel covers!
