For the Sport Air Race League I simply placed a course line on the
map and drug it with my finger to the turn points. I came within 1
NM
I use Xcom radios in my both of my aircraft. It is compact, light weight
(lighter than a hand held), allows you to monitor a standby frequency in the
background of your primary frequency, and has a very nice integrated intercom
(apparently so I can talk to myself in the KR).

In my blank message this morning (sent from webmail, which may have been
HTML and therefore blank), what I said was that the iFly 720 is indeed a
very intuitive device, and is daylight readable already, even in a KR.
The day before flying to Sun n Fun, I tried for half an hour to enter

After a lot of careful consideration I decided to use a Collins vhf 251. Not to
heavy and plentiful. I picked 2 for a couple hundred. Slide in and out. Had
them both checked and are in great shape. Small panel space needed. For a gps I

Comms; I am going with a hand-held.
As for GPS; The IFLY's are very nice. I have a friend who loves flying his
RV4. For him, the ForeFlight app is the way to go. I agree with him if
you aren't' apposed to using your iPhone as your display however this app
can be uploaded onto iPads as wel
expensive when you start adding the options.
