Thanks, Jeff. I'd appreciate that.
This whole thing on strobes is quite confusing. I'd prefer to go with

Also, if they work well . . . and I assume they work at least as well as
mine which work great . . . why are you going to "aircraft quality" if
what you've got works just fine? Tryi

I've got cheap strobes too - the ones Steve & Linda sold in kit form
(minus the lighting fixture) for around $35. I ended up buying four. I
use one for a "rotating" beacon on the bottom of the plane (
The length of wire from the power sorce to the light (LED) is not a
problem. Not a lot of current draw, and heat is not a problem if you use a
proper size wire. I would suggest you run shielded wire and ground the
shield at the power source not at the wing tip. This will keep electrical
noise down.
Larry,
We installed also a cheap led strobe. The are also very lightAnd bright.

Larry,
Have you considered replacing your standard position wing tip bulb with one of
the new LED types that works as a strobe or constant light?
Aircraft Spruce has them for approx. $25 and might be a cheap solution.
I bought one to try out and it works great.
I just need to figure out how to get
There are strobe units out there that all you need is a power wire to the
strobe and if you need it to time with the other wing you will need another
wire to hook those two together. They are not cheap there about $300 apiece.
Single flash I just put them on my 310 last month along with a tail s
trying to convert this to wing
tip if you didn't have it run this built this way to begin with.

It's traumatic.

I've been flying with "cheap" strobes for 13 years now, never use them,
and I'm considering upgrading to some aircraft quality strobes. Current
strobes are on the fuselage, top and bottom, but I'd like to mount them
on the wing, piggyback to my position lights.
My concerns: I assume the p
