I never used them as I've not flown at night in the 650 hours on the KR
and they are not bright enough during the day for recognition. I often
hear from the tower "not in sight, cleared to land". My strobes are
Radio Shack quality so I thought I'd upgrade if cost is reasonable. I
might pop for $300 to get a good quality, bright strobe and see if they
are visible in daylight. I've already switched to the LED wing and tail
light to cut the current draw as I only have a 10 amp B&C alternator.
Quite sufficient up till now but can't add much more electrical load.
As for keeping up with Jeff and his "Christmas tree", not possible.
