I’m meeting with the local FSDO people for my repairman’s certificate this week
and would like to show them a checklist. Any help
Just wanted to say thank you all who gave me the great pointers on the
condition inspection. It was performed yesterday by a great A&P and the plane
passed basically with flying colors (no pun intended). I was quoted at $600,
however after the A&P realized how simple the plane really is, he low
a small savings when you do
them yourself and the added benefit of a second set of experienced eyes
is worth the small cost in my view.

As part of my condition inspection, I tested my compressions on my type 4, and
not to my surprise, three of my cylinders are not leaking. two have exhaust
