KR> jacking a KR

Whilst refurbing my aircraft, I wanted to remove the wheels to clean out the drums. I went to jack it on a block of wood bolted in between the WAFs. It started to tip forward. Hence asking the question. The CG may be a little bit further aft with the wings attached, but not a lot, so the advic

I recently did my canopy, I used Sikaflex 295 UV - I guess the UV bit implies some UV resilience . It's a varient on the stuff used to hold windshields in, and is much easier to use than epoxy, it takes hours to set, so you have plenty of time to fiddle around. You have to prime both the canop

Hi, This is not directly KR related, but probably has impact on everyone of us, so if people feel this should not be aired on KRnet, please email me directly. There is a lot of huff and puff in UK about mandatory fitting of Mode-S transponders on all aircraft, including even old aircraft that

Mark, I don't know too much about transponders, but I guess the little red light comes off the back of the receiver amplifier, and that it just responds to RF and does not care too much about the frequency. Co-ax cable is very, very good at shielding signal, nothing gets out of those suckers,

Hi Chris, My understanding is that polyester resin is no where near as strong as epoxy, it's perfect for building boats, where they make it about an inch thick, but unsuitable for high stress applications. Pete Chris Johnston wrote: >Can anyone tell me if polyester resin is safe to use
