Steve: just a thought but it happened to me. the end of a rocker arm

I just came across a HDPE tank that is about 16 gallons it is roughly
square. It seems rather large for a header tank. Does any one know what can
be done with HDPE. Can it be cut and glued? can it be heated and reshaped?
Any Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Russ (High density Polyethylene)

I also have been disappointed with the EAA groups in my area. They seem to
exist as a social-party entity. When I talk about building something their
response is generally something like " we can't be bothered with something
like that. That takes time, we want to fly." While I admit they do some goo
I'm working with a VW engine in a KR2 that has had the vucuum advance

held the retard arm. Is there anything that must be done to stabilize the

Try some of the HAM opperators in your area. They are usually quite helpful

Remember that in the KR the strength is in the wood. The fibreglassn is to

I believe that "closed loop" means that they put an extra cable from one

I too would glass the bottoms and sides. I recently purchaxsed a KR-2 which
had a hard landing and pushed the wheels through the top of the wing. I

Steve: I would suggest TIG accept its expensive. Not only the welder but
you will need Argon gas which is also expensive. One of the smaller MIG

easy to get a good looking weld but play with it a while and test some
