I'm working with a VW engine in a KR2 that has had the vucuum advance
removed. The p[oints plate seems very loose to be able to rotate on the
shaft. The only thing that holds it seems to be the spring that origonaly
held the retard arm.  Is there anything that must be done to stabilize the
point plate? It seems so loose that the timing has to be varaible 10 to 15
degrees.
