Remember that in the KR the strength is in the wood. The fibreglassn is to
protect the wood and allow graceful curves. Although many have added extra
strength with the glass they also are adding weight  We also have a lot of
heavy birds out there because of all the heavy glass. We need to compromise
somewhere. Choose your glass weight based upon your desire to protect the
foam that shapes your plane and in areas you think added strength would be
of benefit and worth the extra weight. Remember that extra weight  means you
need more harsepower, which means you need mere fuel whjich means you need
to build stronger which means more weight and the spiral continues.
