Subject: 1835 VW props
Dave/et/all
FYI, the first prop I tried on N54PB was a 52 X 52 and it was way to much
pitch. I was only able to turn about 2500 rpm, the climb was poor and the
speed was dismal. This prop was supplied by the p
Hey fellow kr-netters,
I just pulled N54PB out of the garage and started her up. This is the first
time I have run the engine in about 3months, she started on the first try and
ran like a dream. Ran her for about eighteen minutes, checking pressures,
temperatures, rpm, cylinder head and exh

Since I have my Kr-2 in the garage, I went out and measured the distance

Dear netters;
A friend of mine from the Vari Eze world forwarded this to me and I thought
I would pass it along to those who may not know about it.
I checked mine and sure enough they had me on the list because my address

I have a 1835 VW that is turbo charged. I found that for over all good
performance, a 52 X 47 prop works pretty well. I get a pretty consistant

I am using an Amyer-Demuth prop. I can turn this prop at about 3600 rpm and

is definetly a F-4 probably an E model or the G Wild Weasel.

I have my pitot tube mounted at the top of the verticle stabilizer and it
works just fine. This position induces approximately a 5 mph error (high)
on the airspeed indicator as measured against my gps but that is a small
price to pay for it being out of the way and not having to worry ab
