and gave reasons for it. I would guess it comes down to trial and error and
what works best for your plane. I set mine at zero, loaded and rolled and
hoped for the best.

Well I got Ol' Blues EGT gauge fixed. Besides the glass face laying against
the needle preventing it from moving, the wiring was also hooked up
backwards. Good thing I like to fix things.

Well that was a simple fix. The push/pull cable was mis-labeled. It said
pull for heat and should have been push for heat. New label and everything
is fine now.

Yeah, mine is only 87" wide (that's 7'3") and leaves plenty of room so that
it wouldn't be too wide for highway use. I've had it in a Penske rental
truck for transport to the airport before.

Back the plane into the trailer so the wheels will clear the trailer wheel
wells and hang the wings up high on the sidewalls with wide strap material
so they won't get damaged, slide the ramps up under the plane and I think
your ready to go. I've seen it done.

because it starts getting real thick after 30 minutes or so. If in doubt,
buy some more in small bottles from a different supplier or wood shop if you
can to see if you got a bad batch the first time around.

Hi Nick;
I've found that a Dremel tool with the proper shaped cutter tip works well
if your carefull, then finsih off with a sanding block with 60 or 80 grit
paper untill your satisfied.

It's usually located on the top of the case (or block) near the oil fill
area (pulley end) or on some it may be on the top near the flywheel end.
I've seen them in different locations but always on the top of the block to
the best of my knowledge.

I found my other book finally and it say's the "B" series engine was used in
Type 1&2 models from 1967 thru 1970. They were 1600cc "upright fan" model,
engines like the one's used in the Beetle. Hope this helps.
