John, as much as I’d like to make every part of my aircraft serviceable, the idea of epoxy bedding the AN3 bolts into the spar makes a lot of sense, since there are no bushings. Since I’m unlikely to remove the WAFs short of catastrophic damage, I’ll consider this approach. Sent from my iPad

I’ll personally be working both those days so I can’t guarantee I could log into a zoom meeting, but I could certainly watch a YouTube video at my leisure! I’d definitely like to hear your experience in flight testing if you record it. -Evan Burgess > > I would be willing to present my briefin

I can’t make it to the gathering but there is a lot of subject matter on the schedule that I would like to hear! Any chance some of these presentations will end up on the internet? -Evan -- KRnet mailing list KRnet@list.krnet.org https://list.krnet.org/mailman/listinfo/krnet

KRnet> Control surface loads

2024-08-10 Thread Evan Burgess via KRnet
Netters, I’m trying to find some numbers on elevator and aileron air loads. So I have two questions: 1: Without considering any mechanical advantage from the control stick, does anyone have an idea what kind of maximum aerodynamic loads one might see on the actual control surfaces? 2: What

Hello all, I picked up a KR2 project in April and am continuing its construction. It’s presently in tail dragger configuration with the Diehl main gear brackets. In the interest of exploring all my options does anyone have drawings for a nose wheel setup? I see from some of the early newslett

KRnet> Bolt access

In my opinion if it is bolted to the aircraft then it needs to be accessible once the machine is complete. If that means additional access panels, make them while you have good access. -- KRnet mailing list KRnet@list.krnet.org https://list.krnet.org/mailman/listinfo/krnet

KRnet> New member looking for fuselage drawings

2024-02-13 Thread Evan Burgess via KRnet
Hello all, New member here, I’ve been lurking and reading for a little while. I think a KR2S is what I want to build, but I’m still planning and deciding. I was pretty easily able to find the .pdf KR2 build manual online, but much to my frustration I can’t source an image of the fuselage drawin
