I am about to begin engine testing on my KR 2 Corvair engine (after several
years of inactivity).
Previously, when checking spark plugs after test running, I noted that the
plugs on the left bank were sooty whereas the right bank were clean.

After installing a primer on my KR2's Corvair engine to cure hard starting
problems, I test ran the motor this morning (before bad weather sets in here
in the Northern part of Illinois).
Even though the Corvair's weight has caused some static nose heaviness, I

Apply Peel Ply to the epoxied glass cloth and roll out to ensure there are no

I just finished dry fitting the main and outer and front wing spars into
the boat! Minimal adjustment of the fuselage side openings required.
Distances from wingtips to floor were equal with no adjustment required
and the tip-to-tail post measurements were within 1/8" befo

engine options for my KR project and am leaning towards the VW
conversions or a Corvair conversion. I'm going to pick lots of brains at
