If the pilot was in the left seat then wasn't cg left of center? Would that give the right wing the longer distance to cg than the left wing? Longer arm = higher torque from lift on that side? Also the original landing gear design (in retracted mode) make the space between gear to spar attachmen

Doesn't 11 show the "fragments" "re-assembled" (i.e., covering the WAF areas) with the outer wing upside down? Reference the band covering the gap between the outer wing and center/inboard spar sections. Or maybe I'm making the wrong assumption. It looks like the center spar under the pilot was

Hi Larry. I am pretty sure that they got the "right wing" bit wrong for figure 11, that should be left wing, else it does not make sense. Since they said the spar broke under the pilot's seat the left wing should be the one with the short piece of spar attached like in figure 11. Rudi On Thu, N
