Hello everyone!
My name is Anthony Steinke and I currently live in Grand Forks (KGFK), ND. I
plan on buying a airplane come spring/summer 2021 and am very interested in the
KR2/S because of my budget and the safety record they seem to have. I'm looking
for a plane I can maintain myself and that
We have a few Longeze here in our airfield but one, in particular, that is
just now finishing up their 40hrs. It has a Lyc 320 on it. If this matches
somewhat what you have I will get their weight and balance and copy it.

I helped a friend do the weight and balance on his Longeze this
afternoon. What a goat rodeo. The nose won't stay down in level
attitude without a gallon jug of water on the nose. They don't give you
a datum other than to check that the instrument panel is 110 inches
forward of the main gea
I will probably fly with my friend in his RV10 to this meet since my KR too is
not ready. The RV10 is a pretty awesome airplane and will be lots of fun for
our KR group to see. Love the idea. BTW... at least one seat is available on
the RV from Dallas. Let me know if you are interested in flyin

You could, but I don't recommend it! Climb speed drops quite a bit, and
I would guess that stall speed does as well. Been there, done that.
What will really blow your mind is to fly with only one gap seal

I will be helping a Long EZ owner perform weight and balance in a couple
of hours. Can anyone point me to a web page that gives me the "level"
point and datum for a Long EZ? I will need it by 1:00Pm central time
usa. I have the form to calculate but it doesn't give the level point
or datum
Yes Larry, I do realize the ultimate test of KRs in the real world, which
has been absolutely no less than amazing, given there was no fatal injuries
or casualties ever happened in the past, perhaps?!
Stay safe & fly high!

Hi Terry,
Glad to see there are brave enough KRers like you who dares to

one another during this difficult times...!!
My question is, will I and friends be allowed to join the cookout party if

Thanks Robert for the info, and it is much appreciated! Yes, structure
integrity is precisely my concerns to put in a BRS into such a small bird,

Almost anything that will cover the gap will work. Some make a

Dr. Hsu,
There are lots of other solutions for the wing gap besides vinyl tape, I've
seen fiberglass, aluminum and old Venetian Blinds used. All builder preference.
You could fly a KR without a covering for the gaps if you like as well.
For stowable wings, you could just build a cradle to carr
