Hey Mark remember when I talked to you a few months ago about the wings on
my KR2S I aquired that didn't line up? I was going to make a template and
figure which airfoil I had then decide which one I had to replace? Well I
just turned them over and swapped sides in stead! ! Please don't tell

Dave I have a CNC Mill that does a great job making holes, just saying. If
choose to make a new set let me know.

That is what I did to one hole that just never seemed to line up right after I
finished building the wings on N357CJ. I ordered the next size bolt which is I
think a metric 10 mm and matched drilled the very small amount of miss match of
the one hole. So the big question is just how much miss-ma

FYI
Just got me a Harbor Freight Riv-Nut tool Item#1210. Installed 3 nuts and it
seems to work as well as a $20 china special could. I did add a dab of JBweld
to the holes to make sure.

I highly recommend checking out the "stratux" open-source ADS-B -IN
project. For about $110 overall (not counting batteries or power
supplies) you can have in-flight weather, gps location, true AHRS (if
your tablet software can use it,) and location of other ADS-B out and/or

Need to mention Just crack the throttle. I hand propped my KR with all three VW
engines the 75hp and the 0200 (until I could afford a starter. I would either
have someone stand against the tail or tie the tail to a post. On the VW I just
stood against the wing. It's like landing a tail wheel pla
Does any one have 4 #4 WAFs they are willing to part with?

Note to self, and others:
When you order or craft your own WAFs, remember to make 4 #2 's, 4 #3's, and
8 #4's.
End note.

The GRT mini is very nice also and can be used as a full blown EFIS or
as a portable like the Dynon D2. I am using a GRT Sport and have been
very happy with it.

Thank a lot to all who expressed their opinions, they are very helpful for my
overall approach in using vacuum-driven instruments !
I do not intend to fly IFR but would like to enjoy the turbulence-free winter
flying in Canada, which is subject to severe icing and quickly changing

My Mustang II vacuum pump is a purely electrical one and while I have
zero flight hours on it, I'm confident enough that the engine-driven
alternator supplies more than enough power. Battery has enough juice to
run the engine for many minutes should the alternator die or belt
