It would be helpful to know what kind of wheel it is. Some use a straight
roller bearing while others use a tapered bearing. My hangar mate has a set of
Tracy Obrian wheels that use a sealed bearing and thought he had a wobbly
wheel. The bearing simply wasn't fully seated. Once seated, the w
Bill had sent this to me off list as he was not sure if it was relevant.
Here was his questions and my reply. We thought it might be useful to
someone working with an Aerocarb.

My experience was much more simple. I love to build things. My neighbor
Charlie used to build RC airplanes which pointed me into the Aviation
direction.
A Friend of mine suggestiong A&P off a wim about4 years ago.. I said why
not and followed through with A&P school. Ive been on Cloud 9 ever since.
Why not, it's where future warfare is going. One day there will only be
land/sea/air drones.

Gary,
The St. Mary's County School Board announced this week that they are setting
up a flight simulator class for selected public high school students (likely
Juniors and Seniors). The simulator is being furnished by the National

Well, I am making progress with getting Pete's KR ready for flight.
After redoing the entire fuel system I am now getting enough flow to
the Aerocarb. After fixing numerous intake leaks the carb was not
longer tuned properly. It was super rich at idle and very lean at WOT.

All good points Peter, I believe that I have covered each of them. I
even replaced the taper bearings with the two from the other wheel. I
separated the wheel halves and re assembled them. Looks good as far as
I can tell. I will re inspect the races to verify they are seated.
If all else fails I'll
if the wheel is cast alum. then the problem should be confined to the bearings.
Are the races seated in the halves? Is there uneven wear in the taper bearings?
Are the wheel halves touching all the way around when torqued? Peter
Sounds like the bearings are not seated correctly or a bent wheel. I have
AZUSA wheels. Take a looks and see if yours are silmilar.

I have searched through our archives and found pieces on Nose wheel
wobble but do not see anything on a main wheel wobble. When I
purchased this project I knew that one of the main wheels wobbled a
bit but didn't give it thought. I just recently flipped the mains
