Thanks, Mark for your information. I've ordered a Tillotson diaphram and
will see if it fits my EFS-4. Your webpage is very interesting and
informative. I'm having a problem with mine - difficulty idling between 500
and 1000 rpm. Maybe a clogged hole in the spray bar or something, but you've

Hi Robert,
We did it with the kids back in 98.
I would recommend AvTours that fly to the show as a package.

It is a little more expensive, but so much worth it for the stress factor.
Not sure about these days, but it would fly direct to the airshow from Aust.

Hi,
I would like to know the answer to this as well, as I am wanting to mount a
Jabiru 3300 type engine in my KR-100 project.
Couldn't you use existing flying planes history already in the air from
other countries that are using Jabiru engine and the Corvair 3100 big engine

No, I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were the same. It's
only used to regulate the fuel pressure down to something less than 1 PSI.
For the price of a new diaphragm, it's easy enough to find
It is definitely not too much engine, but I have heard of problems with it
over heating. I also heard that those problems had been resolved, and heard
that they have not, so I would check that out very carefully. But weight
and HP, are good.

Second choice would be Chicago, Illinois. Rent a car there and drive an extra
hour as compared to Milwaukee.

David,
I don't know what your plans are, but my father has a partially built KR2

I have inherited and have no use for. The engine is uncertified (and no
logs) but has been overhauled. Looking in the cylinders they appear

Hi David
I have a 3300 sitting in my garage waiting for approval from the UKLAA.
They want me to do a torque test on the fuselage of my KR2s to prove that it
is strong enough. I'm not sure how I'm going to do that!
Any ideas anyone?

Robert,
Best to book any room for Oshkosh you need right now. I typically stay right on
the airfield camping and love it. One year I brought the family and camping was
not on my wife agenda. We stayed in a hotel which was probably about 10 miles
north of Oshkosh (just a Holiday Inn Express). D

Your lucky in that the KR has many engine options. I'm no authority but the
3300 has been done and even larger engines. I think 0-320 is the largest
engine I have heard of. I am using an 0-200 with Lightspeed pistons and
electronic ignition. They claim up to 120Hp from just this pisto
