Mark,

Do you happen to know if that Tillotson diaphram fits an EFS-4 ?

There's not a lot to an Ellison carb. If it's an EFS-2 or 3, a Tillotson
diaphragm will swap out with the Ellison diaphragm. Having had one apart
before, I'd open it up, inspect the gasket, and if it was OK, reuse it.
Then I'd spray carb cleaner down the inlet valve hole (see the photos at
http://www.n56ml.com/fuel/ ) and insure that it runs out all the spray bar
holes. If it needed a new diaphragm, I'd order another one for $10 or so.
And if nothing was sloppy in the slide mechanism, I'd put it back together
and fly the thing. Mine has 1130 hours on it and is still night and tight.
I think they charge something like $400 to "rebuild" one, so you decide...
