David Your lucky in that the KR has many engine options. I'm no authority but the 3300 has been done and even larger engines. I think 0-320 is the largest engine I have heard of. I am using an 0-200 with Lightspeed pistons and electronic ignition. They claim up to 120Hp from just this piston change. I will be happy if it gives me a solid 100-110Hp. Most forum postings I have seen agree that the 0-200 was never really a 100Hp motor. The corvair is popular but I would do my research to see if the crank problems have been resolved.
Good Luck and happy building Craig www.krworkshop.info www.kr2seafury.com www.flightwidgets.com ________________________________ From: David wade <dvdkn...@yahoo.com> To: "kr...@mylist.net" <kr...@mylist.net> Sent: Monday, November 12, 2012 12:37 AM Subject: KR> New Project. Hello there, I am planning to get back into building a KR-2 in the Summer of 2013. I was wondering, What are some of the best Low Cost building materials. The other thing I am nervous about is the engine for it, Is a Jabiru 3300 to much for the KR-2 ? Any bit of information will be greatly appreciated.
