There should not be anything between the mount and the firewall. The movement will wear out the mounting holes and you may end up with a big problem. The rubber mounting between the engine and the mounting should be enough to dampen vibration to the airframe. -Original Message- From: M

Having now checked everything after the overturn, I'm soon to start reassembling the engine mount / engine to the airframe. My aircraft has rubber pads between the engine mount and the firewall. These have hardened and split and obviously must be replaced . or discarded. Question. Is it nor
