I cut them off using a Dremel cut-off wheel, very carefully. However, if you damage any of the strands, I suggest you start over. For aileron linkage, this might help. http://krbuilder.org/Aileron/AileronLinkage/index.html I have pics of just about everything for a stock KR2 on my web site.

I have exactly the same configuration. If I remember correctly, I set the tail incidence at 0 degrees when I built the new tail. That was just about perfect. -Jeff Scott Los Alamos, NM - Original Message - From: Steven Bedford I checked the archives but foun

Phil You need to use swaged end fittings in tight places where the aileron cables pass through the spars. I'll take some pix tomorrow and send to you. It's best to put the turnbuckles for easy access in each case.Makes life easier when adjusting later. Rudder turnbuckles just behind the seat work

If I want to change mine, can I cut off the Necopress sleeves and re-rig them or should I cut out all the cables and start over? Also, I have stock aileron bellcrank/brackets, what kind of fittings are used on the ends of the cables there? The drawings show these fancy crimped on (not sure w

Phillip,   My thought is that you need turnbucles but it doesn't matter where they are in the system. Mine are near the rudder pedals which keeps the ends next to the rudder as shackles.   Victor Taylor   From: Phillip Hill To: KR List Sent: Saturday, April

Is there rhyme or reason what type of hardware you use on the various ends of cables...ie rudder cables? Trying to follow the book and there is no guidence warp what fittings you install, where. My plane came with turnbuckles attached to the rudder control horns, which make them inflexible. I see s

Steve I have the RAF48 airfoil and the stock stab airfoil and the stab is set at zero degrees as per plans page 57. This requires a 3/32 shim under the forward stab spar. Worked out perfect . Flys hands off and is trimmed perfectly. Don't recall what was different about Mark's tail airfoils but he

I recall seeing somewhere (or concluding from something I read) that the 'ideal' horiz stab incidence is the wing incidence minus 1.75 degrees. So if your wing is at 3.5 degrees that would mean 1.75 degrees for the horiz stab. Can't remember where I saw that and I think it was in relation to the

I checked the archives but found nothing on this. I have a Kr2s with wings set at 3.5 degrees of incidence per the plans with the raf48 airfoil. I have rebuilt the horizontal stabilizer with Mark L.'s airfoil shapes. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the horizontal incidence angle.
