Anyone interested in an almost new Ed Sterba prop with spinner cut to fit
with dual bulkheads, contact me. It is a 52 50 and came off the VW 2276
that I have for sale. Sterba makes a very good prop for the VW.

The AeroCarb is more a copy of the old Posa than it is a copy of the
Ellison. I had an AeroCarb back when I was having trouble locating an EFS-2
and in my humble opinion there is no contest as to which one is the better
Carb. There is a contest on price and AeroCarb wins that one by a long
shot.
Google Rotec tbi and you can see what they have. Anything from a VW to a

Looks like the Rotec will be a good option to replace my EFS-2 as well,
need to investigate the way it mounts
Thanks for the info!

The 'spray bar' fuel delivery originated with the Ellison unit, A/O
POSA-style units that use a solid tapered needle.
Both Rotec & Ellison have the fuel flow tied to airflow through the
unit, so there is no puddling (a/o POSA derivatives, which did not
address the issue because it wasn't much o
One thing I like about the Rotec is that when you shut down the engine there is
on fuel leaking out the bottom of the throttle body, even if you don't lean the
mixture. You just hit the prime button on the regulator one time and the
engine is good to start for the rest of the day. Usually star
The Rotec now has a tube that runs from the regulator to the throttle body to
equalize the pressure which eliminates the hesitation. So far I have not had
any problems. Mine ran good right out out of the box. I just had to adjust
the idle speed. My EGTs are now within fourty degrees of each

Just a small note, the Rotec carb, is not a fuel injection system, nor fuel
injector when compared to what a modern day automotive fuel injection system
is. It is a knock off of the Ellison series of carburetors. Their web site does

Interesting Steve!
I did not realize the AeroCarb was a close copy of the EFS-2! I am
running an EFS-2 on my 2.4 VW but I am looking at upgrading it to an
EFS-3 as I think it might be restricting the airflow a bit at the moment.
I wonder if the AeroCarb would be an option? I suppose I need to l
Also, from appearances, the Rotec is pretty much a direct Ellison clone
Of course, Ellison also calls their EFS system (including the 'vw-sized'
EFS-2) a 'throttle body injector', too - as do all of the POSA-knockoff

IIRC, the closest thing to a *REAL* throttle-body injector, is th

Just to provide another data point on the prop discussion.
Engine Revmaster 2100D (65 hp variety). 390 hours total time (since 2006)
Original prop was Ed Sterba 54 x 50. My static rpm was 3200, max was 3400 in
level flight. I used to cruise at 120 mph at 3100 rpm.
