Thanks fellow
All is right with the world again.
I not sure what has happen but I have now recieved 4-5 KRnet e-mails
in the last hour.
I certianly didn't do anything other that send my orginal message,
maybe that action alone have re-activated it, who knows.
But all seem OK now.

Working fine here Peter.
It may be worth checking with your ISP to see if kr...@mylist.net has been

I'm still fairley new to all this, so I don't know if anyone has tried some on
their wings but I see klobs running them on the horizental staiblizers

Vapor lock is common in almost all fuel injected aircraft engines, but it's not
the gascolator that overheats. It's because the fuel injection distribution
block is sitting on top of the hot engine, so gets heated enough to easily
boil the fuel following engine shut down. Thus the hot start p

Can someone please tell me what the status of the cowling mold is and what
I must do to borrow it for a short period of time or if its still open for
circulation?
Best Regards,

I agree with Dan, cooling your gascolator in a tightly enclosed cowling is
important. A friend of mine crashed his KR because of vapor lock, he did not
have cooling to his gascolator and was doing touch and goes. Not enough cooling
air flowing to save him.

Guys
After battling with cooling issues on a plane I am working on I decided to
measure the pressure differential in the cowling. Being very difficuilt to hold
a manometer perfectly vertical it was decided to use either an electronic
measuring device or make up something ourselves.

I'm not an engineer but a 2" hose sounds a bit overkill and I'm not
too impressed with the NACA ducts I have on my KR fo
Cooling air flow over/through the engine is indeed determined by the
pressure differential at the engine. However, in the apples-to-apples
comparison don't loose sight where that pressure differential comes from.

Hi All,
I'm new here, so please forgive any silly questions...
I live in Norway, and we have some special rules for Ultralights. I
would very much like to build an KR2S as an UL but need some advice. The
criteria is quite simple;
Empty weight: 275 kg.
Gross weight: 450 kg.

Cooling the gascolator ( fuel system in general ) is a good idea. I cool my
gascolator with a 1/2 SCAT tube coming off the air in the baffled area. I
see no reason why your NACA inlet won't work, but don't put any stock in
that. Check http://www.vansaircraft.com/index.htm
