If the system is booted with the Logitech Unifying Receiver plugged in,

I verified again that it is not X. The hang also occurs when booting
into multi-user.target and even after purging X.org.
I felt adventorous and did the following:
I booted into rescue mode. Then I let a shell loop start every service
in /lib/systemd/system with 1 sec delay. All service came up w

I had to pin Font DPI down to 96 though, because the proprietary driver
sets DPI must too high, which let to giant letters and a mismatch
between applications respecting the DPI and those using a fixed 96 DPI
anyway.

I was able to do a serial output based on the guide from

I did the tests with the three mentioned kernels and I also did an
additional test with Ubuntu 20.10 (the file system there is ZFS, but
that doesn't make that much of a difference). Every kernel aside the one
from Ubuntu 20.10 crashed somewhere in the boot process. You'll find all
debugging logs in

I talked today to Łukasz Zemczak (sil2100) about the redirection. He
made some pretty good arguments that the name of the URL should match a
user's expectations.
E.g. a User could assume the URL
"https://releases.ubuntu.com/jammy/ubuntu-22.04-live-server-amd64.iso";
will provide the initial versio
I can not replicate the state when the "Orientation" setting in the
"Display Settings" Menu shows no dropdown menu when clicked.
I will set this bug also to "Incomplete" for "gnome-shell (Ubuntu)"

I am a little bit dumbfounded by the existence of 3 debian folders
"debian", "debian.lowlatency" and "debian.master"
