Public bug reported: I'm trying to boot Ubuntu 21.04 with the NVMe option in Parallels Desktop 16 and it crashes with an kernel panic after unsuccessfully trying to boot from the virtual NVMe drive. On contrary Ubuntu 20.10 and the latest point release of Ubuntu 20.04 on the 5.8 Linux kernel will boot without any problems in the same virtualization software and with NVMe enabled. If I decide to disable NVMe and boot with the SATA option, Ubuntu 21.04 will boot flawlessly. This seems to be a big regression from the previous releases.
