Thanks Stefan. Also, don't forget that I recently added a Layer context mouse menu item that does this operation. I think it is called "Extract features by geometry type" or something similar. All that would be necessary to fix Save Dataset As would be to call this feature if it fails your "inco

Yes and No, i checked as well. Save Selected Datasets works fine in that it separates the geometry types. The error message is indeed not a real error message. It should rather be a warning - pointing to the message window. Because the user should know that a new file is generated with the ext

Larry, Did you do the integration of this feature? If so, do you have any ideas on what is causing the error message. (I could try to fix it if you can give me a rough idea of what might be causing it.) I will update the wiki with this information. Thank you for checking into it. Landon On Jan

I just checked and OpenJump already has this feature implemented. To see it in action, (in a new task) create a new layer by dragging out a few rectangles. Then Save Dataset As... "test.shp". Now add some linstrings to the layer and choose Save Selected Datasets. It should move the linstrings

Hi, I have a very limited knowledge about imagery stuff. I know that erwan's team has done a good job in orbisgis with a library called ImageJ wich is a nice, small, pure java library. I see some advantages to use such a library compared to JAI which is more heavy and use native code. On the ot

Hi Landon, I'll try to take a look at the SkyJUMP code to break out types so I can answer questions about it. As best I remember, it is wrapped up in a whole bunch of other SkyJUMP mods that make it tough to extract. Larry On Jan 30, 2008 9:42 AM, Sunburned Surveyor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
