I get reports with a 0 target inode number when the inode number
of a file has changed (though the new inode seems to be recorded

What version are you running? I ran into a similar issue with 3.0.4p2.

Appears to be the same bug I ran into; but in different context.
Svn 976 in fact patches this.

Seems like too much effort to me, IMO when I can just add another
'cfservd server' behind my LB VIP and call it a day.
Some organizations which have different groups managing multiple sets
of configs would have a harder time doing that but..

How are any of you self-defining Solaris 10 zones as classes in cf3? In my
cfengine2 installation, I made a module, but am not sure if there is a better
way in cf3. Might this be added into cf3 itself as a hard class?

You still need a way to propagate policy between multiple cfservd
servers. What happens when one of them is offline
For us, our policy gets refreshed every hour from SVN on all "servers"
(or whenever manually).
