They're enabled, but don't actually get recorded.
The only change was that I told it NOT to tell me after creating the
transactions.
And now it just doesn't bother doing them at all. That's not much use.
I'm using 5.9 for Windows 10.
What am I missing here?
Thanks again!

Powershell is cross platform so with some modifications it should work on *nix.

Automatic credit card payment. You should either uncheck that box or
estimate the date when you want to pay it when you get the pop-up. I have

Rick you are on Gmail.
Gmail does not show you the posts you made, so you are assuming no one

I've been using GNU Cash for several years to track personal expenses.
The main report I use is the Budget Report so I can see each month as a column

My annual budget amounts for each account are set to $0 and I don't report on

David,
You may find it useful to set the account register in what is called auto split
mode. From the menu View-> then check
the Auto-Split Ledger radio button. You can also set this as the default mode
from the menu item Edit_>Preferences-

Yes. Go to the GnuCash website, Documentation section
I can think of two ways:
1) Let the payoff entry get added, and then changed the date to match the
real date
2) Turn off the automated payment system, and enter the payment yourself
(Settings->Register and in the Reconciliation section, uncheck the
"automatic credit card payment")

The invoice I'm referring to is the invoice my bank sends to me to pay for
the credit card expenses of the past month. Nothing related to GNC.

First, what version of GnuCash are you using?
Second, I have never seen the word Invoice appear during the reconciliation

Third, AFAIK the reconciliation process only asks for the statement date on

The general ledger file is fine. The only one off is the general

Hi.
I'm happy with the reconciliation process for my credit card, but now I
noticed the following.
I receive the credit card invoice and the statement is from the 13.11.2024
(as an example). Therefore I reconcile every transaction up until
13.11.2024 - which is fine. When I complete the reconciliat
I know this isn't exactly on GnuCash itself.
But to understand how it stacks up against commercial software,,,
is there any GNC add-on, or another FOSS software, that will read a

And also the receipt number, but as that's print
