No, I have a SB Live! 5.1 PCI soundcard...I had tried the driver for
SB16 emulation, but it wasn't compatible with some drivers so I never
used it. With old mainboards I mean more or less 2, 3 years.

What is audio quality as good as something from this year?
Can you really tell the difference betwen anything better than a sound
blaster? At least you will need very expensive speakers, in that case
you can afford two sound cards :)

For my pci-only computer Eric advised me to get either SBLive or SBPCI.
It`s a good time for me to purchase a new soundcard anyway.
Anything I should pay attention?
The problem is there is no real feature matrix, a full comparison of all
soundcards made by creative.

as a kernel, but it doesn't work. Or should I try to load kernel.sys ?
