Hi! For my pci-only computer Eric advised me to get either SBLive or SBPCI. It`s a good time for me to purchase a new soundcard anyway.
Anything I should pay attention? The problem is there is no real feature matrix, a full comparison of all soundcards made by creative. I found the article Sound_Blaster in wikipedia. But neither in wikipedia nor on creative`s website it`s made clear what cards are 'really' soundblaster compatible (for dos). Just the name soundblaster doesn`t mean it`s sb compatible and there are still working dos drivers? Because I have dual boot with XP and Linux I would like to use that soundcard also for more modern tasks (such has high quality playback of dvd/blueray...). So HDA and 5.1/7.1 would be also nice.
