My recent comments (comment:2--comment:4) refer to Ubuntu 15.04 (vivid).
The problem could formerly be worked around by selecting the menu entry twice.
This does not work any longer. This seems to be related Unity's
"menu-in-the-titlebar" feature. The problem can now be worked around by

Yes happens every time on Ubuntu 15.04 with all updates applied.
How I open the application doesn't seem to matter, as long as the
application is not locked to launcher. For example, I can open the trash
with "Super+T" or I can open the calculator by tapping super key and
typing the name. Neither
Please check if you can still reproduce this problem on a supported
ubuntu release.

mail
2- I DON'T get any new voice mail notification when a voice mail
arrives.
My phone provider is Free and I noticed the lack of voice mail

The fact is that compiz has a "pushGrab" interface that tries to get X
grab for both keyboard and pointer, even if that is not needed. We need
to rework this.
