Every attribute has 2 connection points - on left and on right side.
If you are meaning a mechansm like connection pont editing like in
LibreOffise Draw shapes - yes, it will be a go
As was pointed out some months ago, as a workaround you can draw a line
over a side of a box anchoring it to its corners. Then you can increase
the number of connection points on that line.
