But that's my personal opinion. I hope it would be taken into consideration.

Just be sure you have pushChanges=false, so you can manually push the work
to your RC branch, but you don't push the tag.
Anyways, the commit id is binding for a vote, not the tag (because can be

So far I've checked:
* signatures and digests
* source releases file layouts,
* matched git tag and commit ids
* NOTICE and LICENSE files
* license headers
* build sources in a clean environment (Maven 3.5.0, OpenJDK 1.8.0_144

Of course in this case there is not any harm of those extra files (and
I verified it still matched git tag and repo archive) - so just a +0

So far I've checked:
* signatures and digests
* source releases file layouts,
* matched git tag and commit ids
* NOTICE and LICENSE files
* license headers
* build sources in a clean environment (Maven 3.5.0, OpenJDK 1.8.0_144
64-Bit, Debian amd64)

details before moving to 1.0 somewhen in 2018.
Thanks for all the votes! I'll send inmediatelly the result mail.

I guess if the people managing the account could just RT the
project-related tweets (particularly announcements), I think that would be
great.
I'm happy to help on that, but I'm just a raw committer, not sure if it
would be appropriate.

As Gary just did for iterator/iterable methods, I'd like to discuss the
idea of adding fluent/builder api.
I can draft the methods if people agree on that addition.
What about casting this first release as 0.1?
Then we solve the chicken & egg problem: we can verify it the actual
components before releasing 1.0 (which semantically speaking has a strong
meaning.

What do we usually do with such problems on dormant components?

Is the any implementation requiring to upgrade? IMO always the lower, the
better.

I think the de facto rule for all new components should be the current JDK
LTS.
