I just tried switching from xfce4-terminal to gnome-terminal, only to
discover that new tabs spawned via Ctrl+Shift+T (or File->New Tab) in
the latter fail to inherit my session's $SSH_AUTH_SOCK or
$SSH_AGENT_PID.

I booted another machine (currently running 18.04) from the USB memory
stick with 16.04 on it. I plugged in three USB memory sticks. Each came
up in a couple of seconds. When that machine is running 18.04 it takes
4+ minutes for a single memory stick to be available.

I always try this after an update in case something got fixed. The memory stick

Dia-normal, GIMP crash when attempting to prin
Could not mount a video DVD unless the DVD had been inserted and then
the machine rebooted. At this point, the DVD is mounted and can be
played. After ejecting the DVD and inserting another DVD, the newer DVD

The latest Ubuntu update included Linux version 4.15.0-23-generic. This
appears, after a single test after a reboot, to have allowed a FAT-
formatted USB memory stick to be recognized and mounted. I opened the
device and copied a file to it then unmounted it with no problem.

What happens:
Whenever I open a webpage in Chromium it crashes immediately (SIGSEGV).
Apparently the problem is within the function gfx::RenderText::ApplyFadeEffects
How to reproduce:
Open Chromium
Type google.com + ENTER

PROBABLE SOURCE OF BUG IDENTIFIED.
Using Unity Tweak, I changed the Theme from "High Contrast" to
"Ambience". Missing menus are now visible. Change back to Ambience and
bug recurs.
The cause of this bug seems to be related to the "High Contrast" Theme.
This workaround als

I fell upon this bug and can confirm that Gedit misbehaves when dealing with a
lot of spaces in a text file. I tested with the provided file the following
way. When treating this string:
'CREATE TABLE people( <240 spaces here> id...'
the text is displayed in the following manner

Hi,
I was editing a text file when the cursor began to behave strangely. The
file contained these lines:
CREATE TABLE people(
- integer primary key,
- name varchar(50),
- age integer
+ integer primary key,
It seems that this bug has been fixed. I am currently using Gedit 3.1O.4
in ubuntu 14.04 and the margin scales correctly. Should the status of
this bug be updated ?

I've tested the PDF included by Christopher and I observe the exact same
behavior as with some of my
other PDF documents.
I think the fix should be also rolled out for the last LTS version 14.04
