OK. I have a feeling though that the apps: section is not ordered, which
means we need some other way to call out the "definitive" app for the
snap, i.e. the one which is represented in GNOME Software.
So it feels to me that we need:
* a way to associate desktop files with the apps in the snap (
Same error with:

The workaround works fine.

I am also having this issue in 16.04, std/default desktop install.
Here's a work-around. Edit the ~/Desktop/.desktop file to remove
the "URL" entry (e.g. change "URL=http..." to "xxURL=http...").
(Perhaps also need to change the "Type-=Link" line as well -- not sure.)

you were right that glPixelStorei was to blame. In ShmBuffer Mir uses
glPixelStorei to change the GL_UNPACK_ALIGNMENT from 4 (that Qt set) to 1 (that
Mir sets, as it is more careful about stride).
Mir fails to restore the state the Qt set, which broke Qt's rendering
from then on.

Okay, I think I need to point out that the AppStream metainfo format solves all
the problems you have (providing a human-readable translated name, associating
a snap and a .desktop file, integrating it with GNOME Software)- it will even
allow one to specify multiple launch-commands per software
IIRC, the idea was to capture the AppStream link in the store, and have
snapd query the store for that if asked? I'm happy to go forward with
that, no additional snap.yaml data needed.

Yes, but probably no :)
Performance of the GL pipeline suffers, sometimes dramatically, if you
glGet-anything like the current GL_UNPACK_ALIGNMENT.
So getting it for later restoration is highly undesirable. Better to
just set it to the right value whenever it's important. That keeps
