If I hide the desktop icons, the solid color desktop background is not

I configure the power manager in order to save energy so the screen
shuts down after a while. When I try to wake it up, it turns on but all
the system is frozen (except for the coursor that has movment but can't
click anything). This only happens with Natt

When focused on a jabber chat room that I have joined, clicking Conversation ->
Show Contact List has no affect on the chat window. The contact list never
displays, even when Show Contact List is checked.
