command `intltool-update`, so I had to do a `sudo apt-get install
intltool` and re-run the script. Then it ran without any hiccups and

For me gnome-power-manager has approximately a 170KB leak every 10
minutes on Ubuntu 10.04 amd64, and indicator-applet has about a 16KB
leak every 10 minutes. Using atop and looking at the history makes it a
bit obvious. All patches applied, still broken and leaking memory. :(

Does this problem only occur after restarting gnome? I ran "killall
gnome-panel" several times to see if I could see the bug resurface, but the
gnome-panel starts up without any problems.

Just by coincidence I tried using Ping from Administration > Network
Tools.
It doesn't work! It says that I cannot ping anything, even though it
works just fine if I do it in a terminal. I can also see with tcpdump
that ping from this tool
