I disagree on the "nor directly cause loss of data/privacy": I own a domain let's say myname.net. As the owner/administrative contact person I am obliged to receive mails to some "functional" mail adresses like ad...@myname.net or webmas...@myname.net. Additional I am the receiver of the "wildcard"-matched mails, those the address does not exist for the domain. Let's assume the x...@myname.net is not configured for this example.
The bad guy does send mails now to x...@myname.net and requests a read confirmation. Now with reading this mail with evolution I get asked if I want to send the read confirm. Even with denying this, this cofirmation is sent and might be received by the bad guy. And now I lost some privacy - as this confirmation contains my valid and existing email address not known previously to the bad guy. Or do I miss something here? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/698044 Title: Read receipt are sent though such were denied on request -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
