I can reproduce this bug with the radeon-driver. Everytime I hover over
a footnote which contains a lot of text in LibreOffice compiz crashes.
The best workaround for me at this point is to deactivate all tooltips
('Tips' and 'Extended tips') in LibreOffice (Tools -> Options ->

After the crash, switching to other VTs is also broken (but switching

I've recently installed the XFree86-4.1.0 pacakges from the X Strike
force mirror. I've noticed a few problems with DRI on my system (Debian
Patato, kernel 2.4.5)
I would like to know if my previous installation of XFree86-4.0.3 is
intefering with the operation of the new XFree86-4.1.0, and how I

After installing 2.6.30 without discovering new behavior, I realized that
my CDROM apparently causes IDE bus resets from time to time. Removing the CDROM
from the system lets the laptop get past the kdm login prompt. My suspicion is
that kdm/KDE/... does some initialization thing that triggers som
ymore
on the debian server. 1.5-2 does not work for me with my updates. Where can I
download the 1.5-1 deb package to get back an usable system?

My Xorg session crashes without prior notice, roughly during the first 15
Minutes of working. However, I can trigger a crash by typing
dmesg -n 9
as non-root user, wich normally prints 'klogctl: Opera
ack screen.

I noticed that the TV screen comes back after about 1 minute. I did
not expect that I have to wait so long. I reproduced the same on two
other notebooks. Maybe its an issue in my TV.
