Dear Maintainer,
During installing the Nvidia Geforce driver version 384.90 the
following error occurs:
"An incomplete installation of libglvnd was found. Do you want to
install a full copy of libglvnd? This will overwrite any exist
x sockets and now the distinction is more strict. But as I
said, right now I'm just guessing.

Let's try a new bug. If they are the same they can be merged later on.

Answering to myself: This is a known regression and the patch can be
found at [1] which is also attach

However, access is granted if access control is disabled with xhost +x.
Logs don't mention any problem regarding access control.

On the other hand it behaves - as far as I can tell - fine if called
with /etc/init.d/xdm start from console afterwards.

when hal get's de-installed by someone who doesn't want his linux to

this with xdpyinfo it says 96dpi or whatever alse is the standard. Only

Brightness keys work like a charm, no freeze if switching from X11 to VT
or if exiting Xfce and reentering xdm... Good old times ;-)
