"dhelp" useful. They provide a single entry point to access all

If you feel the same write a mail to the debian-python list and tell
them about *your* needs.

always replace components like the HDD and RAM, but that replacing the
display is a bit more work. (still possible). You might also want to
get yourself an on-site warranty plan and live happily ever after.

reportbug xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
select bug 525467 and post a reply with your configuration it might be
much easier to single out. Does the issue occur intermittedly, or after
some reproducible steps? (like suspend, 5 seconds after the X session
was started, ...)

How do you define a

how many are still in some kind of limbo. Once we are sure that you have
indeed upgraded your complete system to sid (why sid anyway?) we can
start working on your performance problems.

The University of Edinburgh is a charitable body, registered in
Scotland, with registration number SC005336.
e is mostly useless if
you don't use dselect but an APT-based frontend: APT has its own
system to keep track of available packages.
OR (alternatively)
1. rm /var/lib/dpkg/available
2. dselect update
Hope that solves your problem.

t is *very* easy to recreate

Be that as it may, good that you solved your problem.

Isn't the lenny version 32bit only? IIRC you have to install the Ubuntu
64bit versions and a couple of ia32-* packages. (ia32-libs,
ia32-libs-gtk) to get skype working on amd64.
