The question I'd like to ask is:
Do I need to enable it somehow in X windows or X does use mtrr

When I try to start xwindows( for the very first time) I get
exec of /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_S3V failed
OK, not a problem. My server is XF86_S3.
Now, I read this in a help section

The add-on Tab Mix Plus has an option under Menu to add "Reload every ..." to
the tab's context menu. The add-on may be overkill if you just want that reload

Replace the drive. The error means that the ECC (Error Correcting Code)
of the Barracuda is kicking in to correct corruption in the drives
on-board cache RAM.
