ls -al /dev/dsp
crw-rw---- 1 root audio 14, 3 mar 14
2002 /dev/dsp

I've changed the mode:

ls -la /dev/dsp
crw-rw-rw- 1 root audio 14, 3 mar 14
2002 /dev/dsp

and now under kde session I got the following:

***
Sound server informational message:
Error while initialising the sound driver:
device /dev/dsp can't be opened (No such device)
The sound server will continue, using the null output
device.

I have Intel Pentium 4 1.8DHz FCPGA 478 and sound card
AC'97 Integrated.
OS: Debian Woody (3.0) and I compiled into kernel(make
menuconfig:sound:intel ICH (i8xx) audio support.

Is that correct driver for that sound card?
