Hi
It all looks ok, but I don't know what you need "tabel=/dev/hdb" for in
your win part of lilo.
I have several systems with dualboot, but never used that one before,
never seen it either:)
Try to remove it, then run "lilo" and try boot up in windoze.

Hi, I'll need some recomandations/pointers/howto implement this.
I'm running debian 2.6 stable with postfix/Courier-IMAP/Courier-POP3 and
mail delivery to ~/Mailbox
It is both windoze and linux clients that get their mail from here. On
linux its primary pine as mailclient and windoze clients are
unstable, but apt
is configured to default "stable".
Why will apt upgrade the kernel?
The installed ver. is ii kernel-image-2.6.8-2-386 2.6.8-16
and the same version no. is the one to upgrade.
Can I instead "hold" the kernel-image?

ave used a Maxtor 300G usb disk, formated as one part fat32 without
problem for over a year now. Usb2, switching to and from debian and
windoze.
Have not tested if it's faster with several smaller parttitions.

If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it wel
s, cdrecord is what you need. I'm also a Windowmaker user and the
commandline utility is great. Just apt cdrecord and mkisofs to begin with.
I think you need to install it as suid root or whatever to be able to burn
as user.

If you can't explain it simply, you don
o problem. This is 6 G of total 40.
So, what is the best way to partition the rest this time? Any hints or
tips?

You just need to use ATAPI, not SCSI.
In my cdrecord.conf I have:
CDR_DEVICE=cdrom
# drive namedevice speed fifosizedriveropts
#
cdrom= ATAPI:/dev/hdc -1 -1 burnfree -v
Then I just do:
cdrecord -v -eject myimage.iso

Hi, not sure about psc1402, but for my psc2175 I use vuescan, very nice
and many options for scanning and output format.
